See Shawn Mendes’ video for ‘The Mountain’ off self-titled LP

Shawn Mendes has shared the live performance video for “The Mountain” taken off his fifth studio album, Shawn — his first new album since Wonder (2020).

The new video for The Mountain follows the release of “Nobody Knows,” “Why Why Why,” Heart of Gold’ and “Isn’t That Enough” from the 26-year-old’s self-titled album, which dropped November 15th. Mendes shared of his new LP: “This album is about letting go of, and remembering who I am. It’s been my own personal medicine. I hope you love it Shawn, out now 🫀

Mendes had previously dropped the video for “Heart of Gold”, written and produced by Mendes, Scott Harris, Mike Sabath and Eddie Benjamin, which was inspired by the memory of a dear childhood friend who passed away. Mendes shared of that track: “Grief is a really, really difficult thing to deal with and a huge part of what has helped me has been celebrating that person. I would just like to dedicate this song to anyone out there who has lost someone – some who has passed or someone who’s alive – whichever way. This is for them.”  The accompanying video for Heart of Gold was directed by Connor Brashier with creative direction by Anthony Wilson; take a look – HERE.
